CARBON1 SuperPhone - 4.6mm THIN

Nuno Teixeira - Industrial Design Studio was invited by CarbonWorks, Inc. to design their first superphone the CARBON SuperPhone.
Designing the thinnest, the lightest and the strongest SuperPhone was a great challenge and a very exciting process.

CARBON1 - THINNEST. LIGHTEST. STRONGEST.
Carbon is made of high-tech composite materials, like a spaceship. It is unnaturally thin, inconceivably light, and absurdly strong.
RULES DON’T MAKE ART.
Forging the thinnest, lightest and strongest phone on the planet meant that we had to bend and break the rules of what was considered possible.
The chassis had to go. And even then, most components wouldn’t fit inside. Things like these make hearing “that’s impossible” a habit.
But our team never gave a damn about what’s considered possible. In fact, we had but one rule: BREAK THE RULES.
